Catalina Querida hails from Arlington, Tx, she's a classically trained singer and her interest in burlesque stems from "that one scene in The Great Mouse Detective." She focuses on routines inspired by films as film is the great love of her life. Her most popular routine, All The Men In My Life Keep Getting Killed By Candarian Demons, brings her love of films, musicals, horror, and puppets into one fun, silly combo. Armed with her trusty microphone, she's ready to show how well various art forms can collide.
Since beginning with Deadly Sins Burlesque and Sideshow, Catalina has performed on such wonderful stages as Gas Monkey Live!, The Pocket Sandwich Theatre, Six Springs Tavern, and various pop up events for the business Fort Witch.
Artist Statement: Burlesque is truly an art form where you have the capability to do and try anything. With my burlesque, I focus on films and their music, then use the costuming to bring the whole idea together. Films are my great love, but so is singing, being able to put my interests together whilst entertaining audiences and helping people escape is a wonderful feeling.
