Electric Palace

The Electric Palace is an independent community cinema in the heart of Hastings Old Town.

We aim to bring you a wide choice of alternative films and film-related events. We have a licensed bar and offer a tempting range of refreshments, including local ales and Fairtrade coffee. The cinema survives solely on ticket and refreshment sales and our team of 30 dedicated volunteers to staff the screenings. Your ongoing support maintains a diverse and exciting programme.

Our Cinema Plus events offer the opportunity to hear films specially introduced by invited guests and film experts, or to participate in an informal question and answer session after the film - all those interested are welcome to stay for these at no extra cost.

The Electric Palace is open to everyone. You are welcome to book tickets in advance through this website or simply turn up before the screenings. Doors open 45 minutes before each performance.
