La Academia de Burlesque by Lucy Von Mambo

The instructor is a graduate of the UNAM's Dramatic Literature and Theater Degree and in 2003 she began her studies of cabaret in a workshop of the Compañía de  Las Reinas Chulas , the famous "Mexican theater-cabaret company formed by Ana Francis Mor, Cecilia Sotres, Nora Huerta and Marisol Gasé ”.

As a result of this training and the workshops he took with the collective "Burlesquimeras, governesses of universal beauty" and the Sinister Sisters Company Cabaret workshops, he decided to create the Burlesque Academy whose workshops are part of the International Cabaret Festival Burlesque Academy.

The only requirement is that the girls are of legal age. They are divided into three modules: the introductory, the basic and the advanced. Through them they will learn, among other things, the practical matters of burlesque; the positions and basic group assembly type “Pin-Up”; group setting type "Cabaret"; the bases for the creation of Burlesque Character; Group Burlesque montage and Individual Burlesque numbers.
